"searching for himself by getting lost in bars, dating, reading, college parties, music, drawing, movies, and dreams."
--Charles Brown in Schulz and Peanuts by David Michaelis
12:13 p.m. - Late on my first day, how embarrassing. My plan to wake up early with the working man lasted all of zero days. I was unable to wake up to my 7:53 a.m. alarm this morning. I slept in until 9:30 then I went to the gym. I finally got to my desk at noon, after buying a lottery ticket and making lunch. This behavior would not be tolerated by a real boss and it will not be tolerated by me. Oh, I almost forgot... I need this Friday off.
1:21 p.m. - Slow morning... The temptation to play video games is great, but I made a promise to myself and my readers to work during the day. ("Work"= Draw a cartoon, improve myself mentally/ physically, help others, brainstorm great ideas.)
2:38 p.m. - Wow, really bored. I severely overestimated the amount of time that it would take to do my work. I'm going to check to see if there are any Law & Order: Criminal Intent episodes on. Call it my cigarette break.
3:15 p.m. - No Law & Order, watched a Simpsons episode.
3:39 p.m. - Quitting time. I will think of more ways to fill the day in future entries.
